Dark-Core-Revolution operates on an upgraded version 21 of the game engine, featuring crucial DirectX and 64-bit enhancements. These significant improvements are implemented to ensure better performance. Please note that such comprehensive system adjustments are necessary for an older game base like dcr to deliver a modern gaming experience.

Your Vote Level increases with daily votes, boosting your Vote Point Multiplier. If you don't vote for 48 hours, you'll lose your current Vote Level and multiplier.

There are a maximum of 5 Vote Levels. Each level increases your vote point multiplier by 50%:
Level 2: +50% more points
Level 3: +100% more points
Level 4: +150% more points
Level 5: +200% more points

The Strike Log records warnings you receive. Once a warning is issued, it remains permanently in your Strike Log. However, warnings expire after 4 weeks, and you can track their countdown in your account panel. Be aware: if you accumulate 3 warnings within a 4-week period, your account will be banned.

At level 5, you will receive a box that must be opened to obtain your starting items, which will then appear in your inventory.

Simply begin with your usual leveling routine, and you'll naturally find your flow as you play.

The maximum level on Dark-Core-Revolution is 175 since 2025

The maximum Soul Level on Dark-Core-Revolution is 160 since 2026

instance stones
instance stones are earned as rewards for completing instance runs. you receive them for every run you finish. if you complete all available runs of an instance, you’ll be rewarded with a higher amount of instance stones.

revolution chips
revolution chips from all monsters in
shadow forest, eden forest, and forgotten path.

blue chips
blue chips are rewards for pve activities, such as
the colosseum or the dark match event (tower defense).

red chips
red chips from monsters inside the secret room.
the secret room opens daily at 18:00 cet, and only a guild is required to participate.

dark chips
dark chips are primarily used for crafting and can be obtained in multiple ways:
- through dismantle collecting in madrigal (requires a dismantle collector and battery from the revolution chip merchant)
- by farming rifts, including the shadow valley rift (accessible via the instance manager)
- by obtaining dark gems in the forsaken legacy game and exchanging them for dark chips at the forsaken legacy manager

daily quest tokens
daily quest tokens are rewards from daily quests.
the higher your soul level, the more daily quests become available to you.

veterans chip
the veterans chip is rewarded for participating in the guild siege.

To ensure that Dark-Core-Revolution runs correctly and without unnecessary errors, please make sure that all required components are installed on your computer.

1. Install DirectX

The required DirectX package can be found in our Download Section.

Installation:

1. Create a new folder somewhere on your computer. We recommend using your Desktop so you can easily find it again.

2. Run the downloaded DirectX package.

3. When asked where the files should be extracted, sel​ect the folder you just created.

⚠ Important: Extracting the files does not install DirectX yet.

4. Open the folder containing the extracted files.

5. Find and run DXSETUP.exe.

6. Follow the installation wizard until the DirectX installation has been completed.


2. Install Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributables

Dark-Core-Revolution requires the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributables to run correctly.

Please install both packages:

• x86
• x64

Both versions are required, even if you are using a 64-bit version of Windows.

You can find the installers inside the Redist folder of your Dark-Core-Revolution client or in our Download Section.


3. Restart Your Computer

Once DirectX and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables have been installed, restart your computer. This ensures that all required components are properly loaded by Windows.


4. Launch Dark-Core-Revolution

1. Start the Dark-Core-Revolution Launcher.

2. Allow the launcher to download and install all available updates.

3. Once the patching process has finished, start the game.
